Solar cell operationis well explained
I have an idea to cover a curved shape on a covered bicycle and I keep thinking that I would like to use some PV cells of about 4 to 6 inches square that could produce a nominal 60 volts for charging a 48 volt battery pack, and that each cell would have a printed PWM or MPPT controller and then each cell would send its power to a diode block on the battery charge controller. Having a couple of cells get compromised would have a lot less effect on the entire array - every cell would be able to contribute to their maximum ability according to their sun level. I don't know if any cells like that exist, or if there would be any advantage to having it set up like that. I don't know who to ask.
